FAQs

Is there a registration fee for attending STAM 2026?
No. Registration for this meeting is free.

Is there a registration deadline? Can I register on-site at the meeting?
Online registration will close at end of day on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
We encourage all attendees to register for the meeting in advance.

If you arrive at the meeting and still need to register, the logistics staff at the Registration Desk can help. The Registration Desk will be located outside Lake Fairfax (near the elevators) on the second floor of the hotel. Meeting materials and a name badge will be distributed to registered participants.

Note: Preregistered participants will be given priority for meeting materials. On-site registration is subject to space availability.

What is the federal government per diem rate for the sleeping rooms?
The federal government per diem rate is $183 plus tax and fees. The prevailing per diem rate will apply at the time of the event. Please visit the hotel tab on this website for additional information.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your meeting registration, please email the STAM Planning Team at STAM2026@saxmanone.com. Additionally, make sure to cancel your hotel reservation directly with the hotel to avoid a penalty charge (see the hotel tab for the Hyatt cancellation policy).

Will I receive an email confirmation after registering?
Yes. If you do not receive your email confirmation within 24 hours, please check your email spam folder and then contact the STAM Planning Team at STAM2026@saxmanone.com for support.

Will lunches be provided at the meeting?
Due to Federal regulations, complimentary lunches will not be provided for attendees. However, food purchase options are available within the hotel, and numerous restaurants are within walking distance.

How do I learn the details of each session and who is presenting?
At the start of STAM 2026, the agenda tab on this website will have the final meeting agenda; you can also obtain a hard copy of the agenda at the Registration Desk. The meeting program book will feature a detailed agenda, including descriptions of the plenary sessions and workshops, meeting room names, and scheduled presenters.

Where can I get copies of the plenary session and presentations?
The resources tab on this website will have most presentations available to download. The resources will be posted prior to STAM 2026 and will be updated during the event. Paper copies will not be available on-site.

Can I attend the meeting virtually?
A webcast of the plenary sessions and select breakouts of STAM 2026 will be available. The webcast links, with details on how to view the sessions, will be disseminated to State and Territory Child Care and Development Fund administrators and select Federal agency staff members a few days before the opening plenary session. If you would like the webcast access information sent to you, please email STAM2026@saxmanone.com.

I am a presenter. How do I get my presentation to the right person?
Please provide your presentation to your plenary or breakout session lead in advance. Additionally, please bring your PowerPoint presentation on a flash drive to the meeting room and arrive 5–10 minutes early so the audiovisual technician can load it, if necessary. Please inform your plenary session or breakout session lead and logistics staff members in advance if your presentation includes a video or requires sound and/or internet access so they can make the necessary arrangements with the audiovisual technician.

Does the hotel offer internet access for attendees?
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available for participants in the meeting space. The Wi-Fi password will be provided onsite at the Registration Desk.

I have an accessibility need that requires special attention. Whom do I contact?
The logistics staff at the Registration Desk should be able to help you with your special request. If your need requires advance preparation, please indicate while registering, and send an email with details (including your contact information) to the STAM Planning Team at STAM2026@saxmanone.com prior to July 17th.

Will a nursing or lactation room be available during the meeting?
Yes. Please check with a logistics staff member at the Registration Desk for the location.

Are extra program books available for people who cannot attend?
Please visit the Registration Desk around the time of the closing plenary session, and a logistics staff member will provide extra program books if any are available.
